Light Armoured Vehicles LIGHT ARMOURED VEHICLES
The 2003 edition of Jane’s Defence Weekly’s supplement on Light Armoured Vehicles has the crucial details of more platforms than before – and ten of the vehicles covered are new entries.
 

Introduction
An increasing number of countries have already or are planning to acquire fleets of 6 x 6 and 8 x 8 light armoured vehicles (LAVs). In some cases these have virtually replaced their tracked counterparts, while other countries have opted for a more balanced force structure of heavier tracked and lighter wheeled vehicles. There are advantages to both.
